Air Management Partnership . . . AIE and Blue Star sign MOU to promote IAQ

With six decades of experience in providing expert cooling solutions, Blue Star has been associated with the most prestigious corporate and commercial installations in the country.

Under the MoU signed between the two organisations, AIE will provide Blue Star, Energy Recovery equipments like Ecofresh Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) and Heat Recovery Wheels (HRWs) as well as its Ecocool Evaporative Cooling Pads based modules for Blue Star’s Air Cooled Chillers.

Blue Star will develop Air Handing Units incorporating Heat Recovery Wheels and Heat Pipe coils manufactured by “AIE”.

The collaboration would help Blue Star to offer complete Air management solution including IAQ and Energy Saving to their customers worldwide.

In a joint statement, Mr. Deepak Pahwa, Managing Director, Arctic India Engineering Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. B. Thiagarajan, Vice President - Airconditioning & Refrigeration Service Division, Blue Star Ltd., said that the partnership's mission is to provide, promote and facilitate the usage quality air management equipment in the region which will allow people living and working in conditioned spaces to breathe better quality air at the same time help building owners and managers to cut down their energy costs.

According to AIE Managing Director Mr. Deepak Pahwa, “The joint effort aims to promote the concept of a “Quality Air Management” to a wider market that would focus on the energy recovery as well as provide better IAQ in conditioned spaces as people were beginning to spend almost 80% of their lives in airconditioned spaces. Energy resources were dwindling while energy costs and health related issues in conditioned spaces were spiraling. Thus, it was important that the leaders in the field joined hands together to promote energy saving and IAQ by quality Air Management in the Conditioned spaces.

The AIE-Blue Star partnership is an attempt to join hands in solving some of the most critical problems faced by HVAC&R Industry.

Mr. Deepak Pahwa, Group Chairman, Pahwa Enterprises has been elevated to the grade Fellow, ASHRAE ( American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Airconditioning Engineers ) USA

Fellow ASHRAE ( American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers ) is a membership grade that recognizes distinction in the arts and science of environmental technology. The honor is earned through achievement as a researcher, designer, educator or engineering executive and is conferred upon approval by the Society’s Honors and Awards Committee and the Board of Directors.

Since its inception, ASHRAE has honored about 525 of its 55,000 (current) members, worldwide, as “Fellows” ( currently, about 250 of the 525 are living ). In India, six (6) HVAC&R stalwarts have been honored as “Fellows”, Mr. Pahwa being one of them.

Our OEM in Germany opts for Ecodry Desiccant Rotors for it's cooling System High Tech Medical Scanners.They are the leading manufacturer and supplier of Cooling Systems to a leading European Manufacturer of Medical Equipment. They placed consecutive orders for two batches of 250+ Ecodry Desiccant Rotors from DRI. With this, DRI breached another stronghold of its competitors.

Desiccant Rotors International (DRI), a Pahwa Enterprise signed an agreement with its OEM in Japan and under this agreement, they would be importing Ecofresh Rotors and Heat Wheels for its Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) programme in Japan.

Our OEM in, Japan opts for Ecofresh Rotors and Bry-Air FFB Dehumidifiers

Our OEM in Japan, a Shinnon Group Company and one of Japan's leading AHU manufacturers signed an agreement with Desiccant Rotors International (DRI), a Pahwa Enterprise. Under this agreement Thermolung would be importing EcoFresh Rotors and Heat Wheels for its Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) programme in Japan.

EcoFresh already has a large installation base in North America, Korea, Malaysia, the entire S.E. Asian Region, China,UAE , Middle East, S. Africa, Australia and in India.

Thermolung will also be importing and marketing in Japan the Bry-Air FFB (Fluted Flat Bed) compact dehumidifiers. Like EcoFresh, Bry-Air FFB also has a large installation base in Malaysia, the entire SE Asian Region, China, UAE , Middle East, S.Africa, Australia and in India.

Japan is considered to be the hallmark of excellence in Technical Quality. Thus, it is a matter of a great pride to us that our products, MADE IN INDIA, became the preferred choice of a Japanese Engineering Company.

While most of the manufacturers in India are trying to stem the flow of Chinese low cost, high quality products to protect their markets in India, Bry-Air (Asia) has taken on Chinese manufacturers as well as International players in dehumidification and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)in China on their own turf.

Bry-Air started its operations in China in 1999 with a representative office in Shanghai. In a short span of three years, Bry-Air established itself in China and now, its the preferred option over local Chinese as well as International brands in most projects.

Dubai is Bry-Air Asia's current destination with the opening up of a full-fledged representative office in Dubai, U.A.E.

This is the first Bry-Air (Asia) outpost in the region and will complement the existing network of representatives in Riyadh-Saudi Arabia, Muscat-Oman, Tehran-Iran, Amman-Jordan, Damascus- Syria and Cairo-Egypt, thus strengthening the group's presence in West Asia. The Dubai Office will provide the support in market development, product application, designing systems for various applications and providing service support to the Bry-Air Customers in the region.

8 Ecofresh TFAs for Cybercity, Mauritius

Ebene Cybercity, maritius is the island's first Cybercity and knowledge park. Mauritius intends to become a Cyber island.

Obviously, the project parameters required the best and the latest in the technology and equipment. With the built up area of 40,000 msq, the air-conditioning requirement and thus, the fresh air needs of the Cyber Tower, Cybercity was huge.

The project consultants were Tata Consulting Engineers and Dalal Consultants and air-conditioning was done by Blue Star.  To ensure IAQ and cost effective fresh air treatment, the project owners, managers and consultants opted for 8 nos. Ecofresh Treated Fresh Air (TFA)units FLEXOMIX-600(S), each treating 12000 cfm of freah air. Each TFA incorporates a combination of Ecofresh enthalpy and sensible wheel.

The SHENZHEN CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTER, Futian district, Shenzhen China is billed to be one of the most modern convention centres when it opens this year. Shenzhen, which hosts the " Hitech Trade Fair" every year, attracts a large number of business visitors, and needed a world class center.

The Fresh air treatment in the center is a colossal 2,093,700 cmh. Intial designs by an European engineering firm included Plate-Type Heat Exchangers. However, keeping in mind the need for good Indoo Air Quality (IAQ) inside the center, the project designers opted for Ecofresh Molecular sieve coated Heat Recovery Wheels. Thus in order to save energy as well as maintain IAQ (Indoor Air Quality, 88 nos. Ecofresh Heat Recovery Wheels, models HRW - 2600 (54 nos.), HRW-2200 (2nos.), HRW-2000 (6 nos.), HRW-1800 (2 nos.), HRW-1700 (2 nos.), HRW-1500 (4 nos.), HRW-1300 (10nos) and HRW-800 (8nos.) were incorporated with McQay and Fengshen Air Handling Units
